Confident of Trump's win, but Democrats capable of cheating: Rudy Giuliani

Former attorney to Donald Trump and ex-Mayor of New York, Rudy Giuliani, shared his mixed emotions about the ongoing US elections, expressing both excitement and apprehensions over the former President's chances to secure the White House. Giuliani said he is confident of Trump's victory, though he noted a lingering worry about the potential tactics he believes the Democratic Party might employ to win the poll.

"I am very excited about the ongoing US elections, and also very nervous," Giuliani said while speaking to India Today TV. "I know we are going to win, but then I also know what they [Democrats] can do. The campaign has performed well, but you only know the outcome once the elections are over".

The United States is seeing a fiercely contested presidential race between former Republican President Donald Trump and current Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris. With polls indicating a close race, attention is intensifying on key swing states that are likely to determine the outcome.

Giuliani said that there are three possible scenarios for the election outcome -- a Republican win, a Democratic victory, or a deadlock. He also asserted that Democrats are "capable of cheating" in order to secure a win, accusing them of orchestrating deceptive actions in past instances, including alleged cover-ups of evidence.

"Anyone capable of framing a President, of hiding critical evidence for 17 months, and persuading the FBI to lie about it, is certainly capable of cheating," he claimed.

"This is the first administration in American history to put over 100 people who supported Donald Trump in jail," Giuliani said.

Giuliani further raised concerns about Trump and himself facing legal jeopardy should Democrats win the US election. He alleged that a Democratic victory could lead to the reopening of cases against both himself and Trump.

"If they win, the case against me and Trump will reopen, and we could face jail for the rest of our lives," he claimed.

Referring to his role in bringing attention to alleged evidence against President Biden, Giuliani said, "I'm sure they'd love to see me die in jail because I was the first to expose Biden. I am the one who gave The New York Post the hard drive with evidence against him. I’m a proud American who did it to save our country from criminals".

When asked about the scenario if Trump loses the elections, he said, "We'll figure that out, if that happens. We are counting on winning for now".
