Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, 78, is scheduled to appear on Joe Rogan’s popular podcast on Friday, aiming to connect with Rogan’s large audience, which includes a significant number of young men, in the final days before the US presidential election. Kamala Harris, who was also invited, declined to participate.

The US presidential election is set for November 5.

Trump's appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience is highly anticipated, given Rogan’s influence. Previously, Rogan had stated he would not host Trump on his podcast, the most popular in the United States.

Trump’s interview with Rogan is scheduled for Friday, though the exact release date and time on Spotify have not been announced.

Joe Rogan, 57, is a well-known stand-up comedian, UFC commentator, and former reality TV host. He has gained prominence for his podcast, where he discusses a variety of topics, including controversial issues like Covid-19 misinformation, critiques of "woke culture", and interviews with far-right figures. Rogan's podcast attracts millions of listeners, making him a significant influencer in the cultural discourse.

WHY IS JOE ROGAN IMPORTANT TO BOTH CANDIDATES?

With over 14 million followers on Spotify and around 17 million on YouTube, Rogan’s reach is immense. His audience skews 81% male and 56% under 35, according to YouGov—demographics that are largely favourable to Trump. Although Harris opted out of the Rogan interview, she has recently appeared on podcasts like Call Her Daddy, All the Smoke, and The Howard Stern Show to connect with younger voters.
