Deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, state BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Ram Kadam, and Nitesh Narayan Rane are among the BJP’s prominent faces in the electoral fray in Maharashtra, results for which will be announced on Saturday, November 20. The BJP, which is in an alliance with the Ajit Pawar-led NCP and Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena as part of the Mahayuti will lock horns with the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance — Shiv Sena (UBT), NCP (Sharad Pawar faction), and the Congress.

In the Mahayuti alliance, the BJP contested 149 seats, Shiv Sena 81 and the Ajit Pawar-led NCP fielded candidates in 59 constituencies.

In its manifesto for the Maharashtra polls, BJP promised to introduce a state anti-conversion law, provide loan waivers to farmers, increase cash assistance for women to Rs 2,100, and offer a Rs 10,000 monthly stipend for one million young people.
