Indian Overseas Bank | State-owned bank said it has received an order confirming a refund of ₹1,359.29 crore for the assessment year 2015-16, including interest under Section 244A. The order, dated August 17, 2024, follows earlier orders passed by the Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals) in March and December 2023. The bank was informed of the refund order through the Income Tax Portal on December 10, 2024.

Awfis Space Solutions | Promoter Peak XV Partners Investments as well as shareholders Bisque Ltd and Link Investment Trust are likely to sell a 12.2% stake in a flexible workspace solutions company through a block deal, sources privy to the developments told CNBC-TV18. The sale, which is valued at ₹583.4 crore, will see the shares priced at ₹680 apiece, a 5.2% discount to the last closing price on the Stock Exchange (NSE), sources in the know told CNBC-TV18. The deal comes with a 90-day lock-in period.

HG Infra | The company said it has received a letter of acceptance from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) for upgrading of the newly-declared NH-227B Bahuvan Madar Majha to Jagarnathpur, known as '84 Kosi Parikrama Marg,' in Uttar Pradesh. The project, awarded under the hybrid annuity mode (HAM), involves the development of a 63.84-km stretch into two lanes with paved shoulders. HG Infa's bid project cost stands at ₹763.11 crore, while MoRTH's estimated project cost is ₹898.5 crore.

NTPC Green Energy | The company said its subsidiary NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd has won a 500 MW solar power project in an e-reverse auction conducted by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) on December 9, 2024. The project is part of SECI's 2000 MW ISTS-connected Solar PV Power Projects tender and includes developing an Energy Storage System (ESS) with a total capacity of 1000 MW/4000 MWh.

Ashiana Housing | Realty firm reported a search conducted by the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI), Jaipur zonal unit, at its Treehouse Hotel Club and Spa premises in Bhiwadi. The search, carried out under Section 67(2) of the CGST Act, 2017, began on December 5, 2024, and concluded on December 6, 2024. During the investigation, DGGI officials identified an error in the computation of GST liability.

Asian Granito | Bathware and tiles manufacturer said it has entered into a joint venture agreement (JVA) with Shudh Investments Ltd and Klyn Stone Ltd, both based in the UK, to establish Klyn AGL Ltd in England and Wales. The JV will sell large porcelain slabs, tiles, and quartz products across the United Kingdom. The agreement includes provisions such as the right for each party to appoint two directors to the board and the ability to subscribe to fresh capital issuances in proportion to their shareholding.

JSW Steel | The company said a penalty of ₹64.47 crore has been imposed by the Office of the Commissioner of GST and Central Excise, Belagavi Division. The penalty relates to the alleged non-payment of GST under the Reverse Charge Mechanism for mining rights payments in Karnataka during the period of July 2017 to July 2019. JSW Steel stated that it had already paid the applicable GST liability, including interest, and reported these in its monthly GST filings before the issuance of the show cause notice.
