The Israeli army released footage on Saturday (October 26) said to show strikes on a Hezbollah underground compound in southern Lebanon.

The footage also shows Israeli commanders and soldiers touring an alleged underground facility belonging to the Iran-backed group and showing what they purportedly found inside, including weaponry, ammunition, food and communication devices.

Reuters was able to confirm the location of the footage of strikes from two angles seen from 0:00 to 0:22 by road layout, nearby buildings and shape of the mountains that matched with satellite imagery of the area.

Reuters was not able to independently verify the location of the rest of the footage nor the date when it was filmed.

The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah erupted one year ago when the Lebanese armed group began launching rockets at northern Israel in support of the Palestinian militant group Hamas, at the start of the Gaza war. Violence has intensified in recent weeks.
