US President Joe Biden on Saturday slammed Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump and his supporters during a speech in Pennsylvania and said that these were the type of people "you smack in the a**".
The outgoing US president was speaking in Pennsylvania's Scranton, when he criticised Trump and his supporters, suggesting that he would hit back on faux "macho guys".
“There’s one more thing Trump and his Republican friends want to do. They want to have a giant tax cut for the wealthy,” Biden said while addressing a carpenters' union.

"Now, I know some of you guys are tempted to think it’s macho guys. I tell you what, man, when I was in Scranton, we used to have a little trouble going down the plot once in a while. These are the kind of guys you’d like to smack in the a**,” Biden added.
Biden's statement drew sharp comments from people on social media.
Responding to his statement, an X user said, "Biden has officially endorsed Trump. He keeps hurting Kamala’s campaign".
Another X user said, "Joe’s been hanging out with Tim too much."
The US presidential election will be held on November 5 with Democrat leader Kamala Harris challenging her Republican counterpart and former President Donald Trump.
The two leaders have also appeared on several TV and radio shows in the final leg of the polls campaign to attract voters.
According to the latest opinion poll by CNN, both Harris and Trump are pitted in a close heat for the popular votes in most battleground states.
