Kalpataru Projects secures T&D, residential building projects worth ₹2,273 crore

Kalpataru Projects Ltd (KPIL) on Wednesday said it has secured new orders and notifications of awards, cumulatively worth ₹ 2,273 crore. With these orders, the company's order inflow is ₹14,100 crore, this year, so far.

The new orders involve two primary segments, KPIL’s transmission and distribution sector and the residential building projects in India.

"Our order book continues to strengthen with significant traction in the T&D business, particularly in India. We are also happy with the new order wins in the Buildings & Factories (B&F) business, which helps us to reinforce our position in the residential building sector. With these orders, our year-to-date order inflow stands at approximately ₹ 14,100 crore, and more importantly, nearly 56% of order intake to date is from our T&D business," Manish Mohnot, Managing Director and CEO of KPIL, said.

The Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firm's operations span over 30 countries with a global footprint in 74 countries.

In the second quarter that ended September 2024, KPIL reported a strong financial performance with net profit surging by 39.7% year-on-year to ₹125.6 crore from ₹90 crore in the year-ago period.

Revenue from operations rose by 9.1% to ₹4,930 crore during the quarter under review from ₹4,518.4 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. KPIL’s EBITDA jumped 83.8% to ₹438.3 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal over ₹238.4 crore in the year-ago period

Shares of KPIL were trading 1.02% lower at ₹1,231.55 on the BSE around 9.38 am.
