A purported video showing a Tesla Cybertruck covered in graffiti and flying a Mexican flag has gone viral on social media amid growing unrest in Los Angeles. The Cybertruck, allegedly stolen during protests over recent immigration raids, was seen driving in circles downtown while demonstrators cheered.
The video shows a black Cybertruck covered in bold, angry graffiti like “ACAB" and “F*** ICE" across its panels and doors. A man inside the vehicle stands at the rear window, recording on his phone as the truck circles. The crowd responded by raising fists and chanting in support.
News18 couldn’t verify the exact date of the video, but the incident happened during ongoing protests triggered by immigration raids conducted by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers in Los Angeles on Friday. Officials had searched several locations across the city, alleging that some employers had used false documents to hire workers.

Rumours spread quickly that detainees were being held in the basement of a federal building in downtown LA. By the evening, hundreds of protesters had gathered outside, and tensions rose sharply. Over the weekend, cars were burned and shops looted, leading to heavy police response with rubber bullets and tear gas.
On Monday, US President Donald Trump had sent 2,000 Guard troops and 700 active-duty Marines into Los Angeles. Trump warned protesters would be “hit harder than ever" if they continued.
On Tuesday, he claimed that his actions stopped the city from “burning to the ground."
“If I didn’t ‘SEND IN THE TROOPS’ to Los Angeles the last three nights, that once beautiful and great City would be burning to the ground right now," Trump posted on Truth Social.
Meanwhile, in response, California Governor Gavin Newsom criticised the move, calling it “un-American" and accusing Trump of acting like a dictator.
“US Marines shouldn’t be deployed on American soil facing their own countrymen to fulfill the deranged fantasy of a dictatorial President. This is un-American," Newsom wrote on X.
