Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is the first foldable from a brand that will be available outside of China but will India make the cut?

Samsung's first tri foldable device is finally official.

Samsung’s tri-foldable device has been unveiled and we finally know how much it is going to cost. Apple is expected to enter the foldable arena with iPhone in 2026 but its main rival has got the tri-foldable product out in the market albeit for some regions.

As multiple leaks hinted, the new device is called Galaxy Z TriFold and it features a premium design, flagship hardware and top-end cameras from the brand that we’ve seen on the regular Fold models this year. 

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold Price And Availability: India Launch Expected?

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is tipped to be priced around $2,500 (Rs 2.31 lakh approx) which makes it costlier than the most premium Galaxy Z Fold 7 2TB model in the market.

More importantly, Samsung is going to start selling the unique product in South Korea from December 12, 2025 and after that it will be coming to markets like China, US, Singapore and the UAE among others. India is missing the phase 1 launch cut which is not surprising but we hope to see it launched in the country sometime in 2026. 

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold Specifications: What It Offers 

Samsung’s new tri-foldable device continues the focus on making sleek products and the Galaxy Z TriFold measures at 3.9mm when unfolded. It features the traditional folding mechanism that opens from the cover display, the next layer and then the full avatar. You also have IP48 rating and for its stature the Galaxy Z TriFold weighs 309 grams. 

The device sports a 6.5-inch 120Hz AMOLED cover display with Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 protection.

The full unfolded state gives you a 10-inch screen. Samsung is using last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship chipset with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage for the new model. You have it with the latest One UI 8 version based on Android 16 out of the box, and the company is enabling DeX mode to work on the device in the 10-inch form itself. 

For imaging, the TriFold has a 200MP main sensor clubbed with a 10MP telephoto lens and a 12MP ultrawide lens. The front caters to dual 10MP selfie shooters. And finally, the phone packs a 3-cell 5,600mAh battery that only offers 45W charging support and it seems the company is bundling the adapter in the box which is a rarity these days.
