As people across India celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights, many world leaders took to social media platform X to send their wishes. Diwali is the most important festival of the year, especially for Hindus.

From UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, global leaders expressed their greetings on the microblogging site.

“Happy Diwali to all those celebrating across the UK, I wish you and your family a joyful celebration. This is a time of coming together, abundance and welcome, and a moment to fix our eyes on the light which always triumphs over the darkness," Starmer wrote.

“Warm wishes to all those celebrating Deepawali in the UAE and around the world. May this festival of lights bring happiness and peace to you and your loved ones and keep them safe forever. May the light in your hearts guide you on the path of harmony, compassion and unity. Happy Deepawali!" Maktoum wrote in his post in Hindi.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese also issued an official statement in his greeting.

“Wishing a happy Festival of Lights to all those celebrating over the coming days," Albanese wrote in his X post, along with the official statement he shared.
