Former US President Donald Trump made a cheeky remark about his opponent, Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris, during an interview with podcaster Joe Rogan on Friday.

Trump joked about what might happen if Harris were to appear on Rogan’s popular show, saying, “Can you imagine Kamala doing this show? She’d be lying on the floor."

He further adds, “I hope she does because it would be a mess. She would be lying on the floor comatose. She’d be saying, ‘Call in the medics.'"

However, in response to Trump, Rogan did confirmed that Harris was “supposed to do" an episode with him, adding, “She might still do it, and I hope she does. I will talk to her like a human being."

The interview, which was recorded in Austin, Texas, lasted a hefty three hours and featured Trump recounting familiar stories from his rallies and other interviews, while also discussing various topics, including the existence of UFOs.

Rogan, who hosts the widely popular “The Joe Rogan Experience," has a substantial influence, particularly among younger male voters, a demographic Trump is keen to attract.

His podcast is listed as the number one show in the United States on Spotify, boasting 17.5 million subscribers on YouTube and 14 million on Spotify. Notably, the average age of his listeners is just 24, according to Media Monitors.

Trump’s relations with Rogan

The relationship between Rogan and Trump has been complicated. Earlier, Rogan had declined to host Trump on his podcast, stating he did not want to assist him.

Trump also expressed criticism towards Rogan earlier this year after the podcaster indicated that Robert F. Kennedy Jr., then a presidential candidate, was the only person running who made sense to him. Since then, Kennedy has suspended his campaign, endorsed Trump, and joined him on the campaign trail.

With just two weeks left until the highly anticipated US presidential elections on November 5, both Trump and Harris are largely avoiding traditional news media in favour of new platforms, reflecting a shift in the US media landscape.
