Former US President and Republican nominee Donald Trump faced technical difficulties during his rally at Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum on Friday night, prompting him to rip a malfunctioning microphone off its stand.
As the audience chanted “Fix the mic," Trump responded, “Oh the mic? Yeah, I think this mic stinks," before opting to hold the microphone himself. During his speech, which lasted nearly 90 minutes, Trump voiced frustration over the sound issues, stating, “I’m seething. I’m working my a– off with this stupid mic."
Wisconsin Campaign
The former US president humourously added that he had never held a microphone for such an extended period. The rally was part of a competitive campaign event in Wisconsin, where Trump and US Vice President Kamala Harris held separate rallies just miles apart.
While Trump focused on familiar campaign themes such as immigration and economic recovery, Harris emphasised unity and cooperation among Americans. Both candidates are vying for crucial support in a state pivotal to the upcoming 2024 election.
