CA Exam 2024: The
Delhi High Court
will hear the petition to revise the
Chartered Accountants
(CA) Inter and Final exam date for May 2024, today on April 8, 2024.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (
ICAI
) had revised the CA Inter and Final exam for May 2024, due to the upcoming
Lok Sabha elections
. However, despite the new date,
CA aspirants
had demanded a revision on the exam dates, and a petition was filed on their behalf.
According to the
revised schedule
, CA Inter Group 1 exams will be held on May 3, 5, and 9 instead of May 7, and Group 2 exams on May 11, 15, and 17 instead of May 9, 11, and 13. Similarly, CA Final Group 1 exams will be held on May 2, 4, and 8 instead of May 6, and Group 2 exams on May 10, 14, and 16 instead of May 8, 10, and 12.
The ICAI CA stated in the revised schedule that exam dates will remain unchanged even if any day during the exam period is declared a public holiday by the Central Government or any State Government / Local Authority.
In a recent update, the Institute had announced that it will now conduct CA Foundation and Inter Exams three times a year rather than biannually. The examination pattern is expected to change after the May exams.
