Kamala Harris and Donald Trump will face off in their first televised presidential debate on ABC News on Tuesday. Moderated by ABC anchors David Muir and Linsey Davis, the 90-minute debate will be held at the Constitution Centre in Philadelphia.

Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, 59, and her Republican competitor Donald Trump, 78, will face off in their first televised presidential debate on ABC News on Tuesday. The 90-minute debate will be moderated by ABC News anchors David Muir and Linsey Davis and will take place at the Constitution Centre in Philadelphia.

This will be Trump’s second presidential debate of the current election cycle. His first debate was against incumbent President Joe Biden, who initially entered the race but withdrew on July 21 after his poor debate battle sparked concerns within the Democratic Party about his fitness to carry on in the race.

The US presidential election is set to take place on November 5, just two months away.

WHO IS DAVID MUIR?

David Muir is the anchor and managing editor of ABC World News Tonight, as well as the co-host of ABC’s "20/20". He has been with the network for over 20 years and has moderated presidential debates in both 2016 and 2020.

Muir has conducted exclusive interviews with world leaders, including US presidents, presidential candidates, Ukraine's President Zelenskyy, President Biden, and Pope Francis.

His reporting on critical global issues like climate change, the refugee crisis, and wars has earned him several prestigious awards, including Emmys and a George Polk Award.

Muir has moderated multiple Democratic and Republican Presidential Primary debates and has conducted numerous interviews with presidential candidates, including former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Muir graduated from Ithaca College, studied political journalism at Georgetown University, and attended the University of Salamanca in Spain.

Before joining ABC, he was an award-winning anchor and reporter at WCVB-TV in Boston and WTVH-TV in Syracuse, New York, his hometown.

WHO IS LINSEY DAVIS?

Linsey Davis is the Sunday anchor of "World News Tonight" and the anchor of ABC News Live "Prime". She is also a correspondent for "World News Tonight", "Good Morning America", "20/20", and "Nightline".

Davis has been with ABC News since 2007 and moderated Democratic presidential debates in 2019 and 2020. Davis held candidates accountable on topics of racial inequality and other key issues.

She has interviewed a wide range of influential figures, including politicians like Kamala Harris, celebrities such as Kanye West, and others like Bill Cosby and Jonathan Majors.

Davis has covered major events like the 2020 and 2022 elections, the Black Lives Matter movement, and international crises.

Davis has received numerous accolades, including two Emmys and a duPont-Columbia Award. She is also a bestselling author of six books, including Girls of the World and The Smallest Spot of a Dot.

She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Virginia and a Master of Arts in communications from New York University.
