Radhika Khera, who left Congress to join the BJP, on Monday alleged that some of her ex-party leaders locked her in a room, abused and manhandled her.

Khera on Sunday resigned from the party claiming that criticism over her visit to Lord Ram temple in Ayodhya led to the denial of justice to her in the incident that happened at the Chhattisgarh Congress office.

“The day I put Lord Ram flag on my house, Congress starting attacking me. Is it wrong to talk about your religion? I was being insulted time to time. When Rahul Gandhi’s Nyay Yatra was in Chhattisgarh, media chairman Sushil Gupta offered me liquor and they in drunken condition knocked on my doors late nights. On 30th evening when I went to talk Sushil Anand Shukla at state congress office, he abused me and shouted on me. They locked me inside, he with other two state spokesperson abused me. I screamed but no one opened the door. I was manhandled. I also complained to congress Maha mantri but no one pay heed to my complaints,” she said in a press conference.
