Watch: Giant manta ray fish, weighing 1,500 kg, caught in Andhra Pradesh
In a big haul, a giant manta ray fish, weighing approximately 1,500 kilograms, was caught by a fisherman at the mini harbour in Telangana's Konaseema district. The fish was caught in the Antarvedi Pallipalem Konaseema area of the state. A Giant Oceanic Manta Ray was hauled ashore with the assistance of a JCB machine. The massive creature, belonging to one of the largest species of rays in the world, was a significant challenge for the local fishermen, who managed to secure the ray after an intense effort. The sight of the enormous fish attracted considerable attention, drawing crowds of curious onlookers from the nearby areas. Giant Oceanic Manta Rays are known for their size and are often found in tropical and subtropical waters.
