Video: Car bursts into flames in Mumbai's undersea tunnel, smoke billows from it
A car caught fire inside Mumbai's Coastal Road tunnel on Wednesday afternoon, triggering panic among motorists and prompting an emergency response. According to preliminary information, the incident was reported to the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) control room at 12.25 pm. The fire broke out in the tunnel lane connecting Haji Ali to Worli. Videos from the spot showed flames engulfing the vehicle as other motorists turned back and took U-turns inside the tunnel to move away from the fire. A rescue operation is currently underway. The Mumbai Fire Brigade, police and ambulance were rushed to the spot.
