Aditya Birla Capital Block Deal | 2.34 crore shares worth ₹568 crore change hands

As many as 2.34 crore shares or 0.9% equity of Aditya Birla Capital Ltd. worth ₹568 crore changed hands at ₹242.65 per share in a block deal on Wednesday, June 11.

On Tuesday, June 10, CNBC-TV18 reported, citing resources that Jomei Investments, a special purpose vehicle owned by Advent Corporation, had launched a block deal to offload 1.4% stake in the financial services firms for ₹856 crore.

The floor price for the deal was set at ₹237.80 per share, sources said.

In the fourth quarter, AB Capital's consolidated profit of ₹865 crore, a 6% increase when adjusted for one-off gains from the sale of shares in its asset management business via offer for sale (OFS) in the previous fiscal.

Its net profit in the fourth quarter of FY25 was at ₹1,245 crore, which included the one-time gain.

Excluding this, its profit for the March quarter of FY25 stood at ₹812 crore, its total income rose to ₹12,239 crore from ₹10,803 crore in the previous fiscal.

In a separate statement, Aditya Birla Capital said its overall lending portfolio — NBFC and HFC — increased by 27% in the fourth quarter to ₹1.57 lakh crore from the previous fiscal. The total premium was up 22% at ₹25,579 crore from the previous year.

On a standalone basis, AB Capital reported a profit after tax of ₹654 crore in the fourth quarter compared to ₹616 crore in the year-ago period. Its total increased to ₹3,879 crore in the quarter under review from ₹3,527 crore in the previous fiscal.

AB Capital shares ended the previous trade session 1.15% up at ₹243 apiece. It has gained 35.75% this year, so far.
