A delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) met members of the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) on Tuesday. The meeting took place a day after the Chinese delegation held talks with leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Sources close to CNN News18 said the meeting was held at Prerna block. The same CPC delegation that visited the BJP headquarters also went to the RSS office. The talks reportedly lasted for around 30 minutes.

According to sources, the meeting with the RSS was held at the insistence of the Chinese side. The CPC delegation was led by Vice-Minister Sun Haiyan. From the RSS side, senior leader Dattatreya Hosabale was present during the interaction, sources said.

The meeting came following improved ties between India and China last year. The interaction comes after years of strained relations following the 2020 Galwan clash, which had led to a freeze in several political and diplomatic exchanges.
