Apple MacBook Pro M5 models along with the Air M5 is expected this year and some of these could launch next month.
The M5 Pro and M5 Max versions of the MacBook Pro are coming soon
Apple’s MacBook Pro M5 upgrades are being prepped up for launch in the market and we could see some action in March, as per a new tip from a Bloomberg report. This new upgrade is expected to have the M5 Pro and the M5 Max versions that will be available with the bigger 16-inch models of the MacBook Pro.
The sales of the current MacBooks have come down and the inventory is not being refreshed on shelves which suggests the report could have a solid basis to suggest this launch timeline.
The Powerful MacBook Pro Upgrades Soon
The fact that stores are shipping delays up to March suggest Apple could already be busy with the newer models, and having them with the M5 Pro and M5 Max chipsets seems quite likely. Do we also get to see the company bring the M5 MacBook Air model to the market in March, the report doesn’t say much about that but would be easy to see that happen.
The company has introduced the first MacBook Pro M5 model so ideally one would expect Apple to refresh the MacBook Air lineup with the M5 silicone. The 14-inch MacBook Pro M5 version that is already available looks and feels like the previous version and most of the changes are on the hardware front. It has a 10-core CPU and comes in a 10-core GPU variant like the other models. You can get it with up to 32GB RAM and 4TB of SSD storage, and all variants are available.
The more important upgrade is the 16-core neural engine which is primed to take over the on-device AI tasks. The same 14-inch Liquid Retina display has been retained which comes with 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate. You can also pay extra for the nano-texture display variant.
The start of 2026 is likely to see Apple bring the iPhone 17e model and reports suggest that could happen in February. The new ‘e’ device should have some display upgrades, hardware changes and hopefully a better camera system.
