AWL Agri Business reports 36% revenue growth in Q4, driven by strong rural and FMCG expansion

Ahmedabad-based AWL Agri Business Ltd, formerly Adani Wilmar Limited, posted a strong financial performance in the fourth quarter of FY 2024-25, reporting a 36% year-on-year increase in revenue and a 7% rise in volume. The company’s annual revenue reached ₹62,000 crore, a 26% growth compared to the previous fiscal year.

The growth was driven by an expanding rural presence, with AWL reaching 50,000 towns, a rise from 5,000 in FY22. The Food & FMCG segment played a crucial role in the company’s performance, recording a 28% year-on-year growth in volume. Sales through quick commerce platforms doubled compared to the previous year, marking the strongest performance in two years. Modern trade and e-commerce channels also contributed, with total revenue from alternative sales channels surpassing ₹3,600 crore in FY25.

In the edible oil segment, AWL reported a 6% year-on-year increase in volumes during Q4, with sunflower and mustard oils performing particularly well. The revenue from edible oils grew by 44%, influenced by rising raw material costs. The Food & FMCG segment continued its upward trajectory, with a revenue of ₹1,450 crore in Q4 and an annual revenue of ₹6,150 crore.

The company’s product portfolio expansion, particularly in pulses, sugar, and poha, contributed to this growth, with these categories witnessing a surge of over 50% year-on-year. Additionally, AWL’s soap segment reported a 19% year-on-year growth, generating ₹130 crore in revenue, while the newly introduced Fortune Cake Premix targeted home bakers and commercial kitchens.

The South Indian market emerged as a key growth driver, with branded edible oils and food sales increasing by 25% year-on-year. The company recently rebranded itself as AWL Agri Business Limited in March 2025, aligning with its diversified portfolio beyond edible oils.

The shares of the company ended close to a percent in the green on Thursday, April 3.
