Concealer Or IV Bruises? Trump's 'Painted Hand' During Zelenskyy Meeting Sparks Health Concerns

Several photographs during his meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy showed a heavy amount of concealer applied to Trump's hand, sparking fresh rumours over his health.

US President Donald Trump’s right hand once again became the point of discussion as he applied a fresh coat of paint while shaking hands with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, whom he hosted at his Mar-a-Lago estate for another round of peace talks.

Several photographs during his meeting with Zelenskyy showed a heavy amount of concealer applied to Trump’s hand, which led to renewed chatter about the 79-year-old president’s health. This is not the first time this has happened, as Trump has previously been seen with bandages and heavy makeup on his hands.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has previously attributed this to over-handshaking. “President Trump is a man of the people. He has bruises on his hand because he’s constantly working and shaking hands all day, every day," she said in October.

However, social media users were unconvinced, as evident from Trump’s photos with Zelenskyy. “You can clearly see the bruising on Trump’s left hand here, as well as the makeup that covers the bruising on his right hand. Will the White House try to tell us that’s from “shaking a lot of hands" too?" a user said.

“Because he’s a demogorgon, Trump must have easy access to the Upside Down. He escapes through that hole. You do know that the word Trump translates to Vecna?," another user commented. A third person said, “These are definitely IV bruises. Whatever they’re saying about it, they’re lying. But they’re giving him something regularly into the veins."

Days ago, on Christmas Eve, both of Trump’s hands appeared discoloured. The makeup on his right hand was coupled with bluish discoloration on his left. The bruising on Trump’s left hand also stood out earlier this month when he slung the inaugural FIFA Peace Prize medal around his own neck.

The makeup smears, together with Trump’s swollen ankles, and twice-in-a-year “annual" medical checkups, have raised concerns about the health of the oldest person to be inaugurated president.

In July, Trump was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, the White House announced on Thursday after his swollen ankles and bruised hands sparked debate. There was also no sign of heart failure, renal impairment or systemic illness after Trump underwent an echocardiogram. The White House has insisted that Trump remains in good health.
