US President Donald Trump issued a stern warning to Israel, urging it not to proceed with a potential bombing operation in Iran. In a post shared on his social media platform Truth Social, Donald Trump described the action as a “major violation" and called on Israel to halt its plans immediately.

“ISRAEL. DO NOT DROP THOSE BOMBS. IF YOU DO IT IS A MAJOR VIOLATION. BRING YOUR PILOTS HOME, NOW!" Donald Trump wrote.

Israel Vows Forceful Response After Iran’s Alleged Ceasefire Breach

Israel declared it would “respond forcefully" to what it called a blatant violation of the ceasefire by Iran, after Tehran allegedly launched a fresh barrage of missiles just hours after both nations were expected to observe a truce brokered by Donald Trump.

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz issued a stern statement, accusing Iran of undermining the agreement, saying, “I instructed the Israeli army to respond forcefully to Iran’s violation of the ceasefire by launching powerful strikes against regime targets in the heart of Tehran."

The Israeli response came despite Iran’s denial of any new missile activity. Iranian state media quoted military officials as saying no missiles had been launched toward Israel since the ceasefire was initiated. The Iranian Army’s General Staff “denied the launch of missiles from Iran to the occupied territories [Israel] in the last few hours."

Israel’s ‘Test Ceasefire’ Window

Israeli media reported that a “test ceasefire" was observed until 7 PM local time, during which Israel suspended all military operations to gauge Iran’s response. Had Iran maintained restraint, Israel was expected to announce a longer truce, Tel Aviv asserted.

Despite the accusations, Iran maintained that it had not initiated any hostilities. In its official statement, Iran claimed that Israel’s unilateral ceasefire was a result of its own show of strength. The Supreme Security Council hailed what it called a “divine victory", claiming that Iran’s military pressure compelled Israel to “regret, accept defeat, and unilaterally halt its aggression." It added that Iranian forces remain vigilant, saying, “Iran’s armed forces remain on high alert, with fingers on the trigger, ready to deliver a decisive and regret-inducing response to any act of aggression."
