US President Donald Trump has added a new art piece to the Oval Office- a small sculpture capturing the dramatic aftermath of the July 2024 assassination attempt against him in Pennsylvania’s Butler.
The statue, complete with the Secret Service agents who bundled the president to the ground, captures the moment Trump raised his fist in the air and shouted, “fight, fight, fight," after he was shot in the ear by shooter Matthew Thomas Crooks’ bullet on July 13 last year, now sits on a side table next to the Resolute Desk.
The White House has shared an image of the sculpture on X, captioning it with the president’s rallying cry, “Fight! Fight! Fight!"
The sculpture also depicts an American flag and three Secret Service agents—including director Sean Curran ushering Trump offstage.
The figure was created by sculptor Stan Watts and “symbolizes the divine intervention as well as the man and his message of unity and resilience for which America stands," according to the Trump Statue Project’s website.
The image of Trump’s raised fist has become a rallying cry for Trump’s MAGA base, and Trump has leaned into its popularity with photos of the moment printed on MAGA memorabilia available on Trumpstore.com.
The Oval Office statue isn’t the only piece of art related to the Butler assassination attempt on display at the White House.
Earlier his mug shot, taken August 24, 2023, after Trump was indicted on racketeering and related charges, was spotted hanging on a wall just before the entrance to the Oval Office.
