US President Donald Trump is set to announce reciprocal tariffs on April 2 which will go into effect immediately after which auto tariffs will proceed as scheduled on April 3, the White House said.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said that Donald Trump is spending Tuesday “perfecting" a tariff strategy alongside his trade advisors. She said, “My understanding is that the tariff announcement will come tomorrow."
