One email, sent from an account labelled “The Duke” and believed to be linked to Andrew, offered dinner at Buckingham Palace and promised “lots of privacy”.

Prince Andrew's ties with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein gained a spotlight after the publication of a posthumous memoir, “Nobody’s Girl,” by his accuser Virginia Giuffre.
New records of emails released as part of the latest Epstein files show that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor invited Jeffrey Epstein to visit Buckingham Palace in 2010. The invitation came two months after Epstein was released from house arrest linked to prostitution racket. One email, sent from an account labelled “The Duke" and believed to be linked to Andrew, offered dinner at Buckingham Palace and promised “lots of privacy".
Epstein offers Russian woman to Andrew
The files also reveal that Epstein arranged for a 26-year-old Russian woman to meet Andrew. In an email dated August 11, 2010, Epstein told Andrew he had a friend named “Irina" who would be in London between August 20 and 24. Epstein described her as “26, Russian, clever, beautiful, trustworthy".
Andrew replied that he would be “delighted to see her" and asked Epstein to give her his contact details. He also asked, “Will she be bringing a message from you?"
The email exchange took place days after Epstein’s year-long house arrest ended. Epstein had served 13 months in jail after a 2009 plea agreement for procuring a girl under 18 for prostitution.
Andrew emailed Epstein asking if he was “glad to be free" and signed off “HRH Prince Andrew KG". Epstein replied: “Great to be free of many things."
Andrew then complained about missing “opportunities" and said he would visit Epstein soon.
Prince Andrew’s New York visit
Andrew, now 65, stayed with Epstein at his New York townhouse two months after receiving news of the Russian woman. The pair were photographed together in Central Park in December 2010.
Further documents released by the US Department of Justice also detail Andrew’s 2010 visit to New York.
Andrew’s public claim contradicts with his action
In a 2019 Newsnight interview, Andrew said he visited Epstein only to end their friendship, claiming it was inappropriate to be seen with him after his conviction. He said he went in person rather than calling.
However, emails show Andrew remained in contact with Epstein until at least 2012, contradicting his claim that he cut off all ties in 2010.
During Andrew’s stay in Manhattan, Epstein hosted a private screening of The King’s Speech. Epstein’s publicist Peggy Siegal wrote that Colin Firth, who played Andrew’s grandfather in the film, would win an Oscar.
Siegal also said she would arrange a print of the film for Andrew from Harvey Weinstein, who was later convicted of sex offences and is now in prison.
Buckingham Palace dinner offer to Epstein
Another email from the “The Duke" account showed Andrew offering Epstein the option of dining at Buckingham Palace. Epstein replied that he wanted “private time" with Andrew and asked whether he should bring other guests.
Private dinner in New York
Documents also reveal a private dinner hosted by Epstein for Andrew in 2010. Guests included director Woody Allen and his wife Soon-Yi, along with media figures Katie Couric and George Stephanopoulos.
An email from Siegal described the dinner as “private and small" and said Andrew was staying at Epstein’s New York home.
Andrew’s messages With Ghislaine Maxwell
Emails also show contact between Andrew and Ghislaine Maxwell. In one message sent the day after the Queen Mother’s death, Maxwell referred to Andrew as “sweet pea" and signed off with “Love you".
Andrew replied the following day, signing off with “A xxx".
In another message from an account called “The Invisible Man", the sender joked about someone having more children and referred to them as “super sperm".
The files also include an email from Andrew’s former wife, Sarah Ferguson, in which she described Epstein as a “legend" and “the brother I have always wished for".
Release of the Epstein Files
The documents were released by the US Department of Justice as part of the Epstein files. The latest batch includes more than 2,000 videos and 180,000 images. The release came six weeks after a legal deadline set under a law signed by President Donald Trump. Officials said delays were due to the need to protect victims’ identities.
Andrew was stripped of his royal titles last year by King Charles and is set to leave Royal Lodge at Windsor for a smaller home at Sandringham.
Epstein died by suicide in a New York jail in 2019 while facing charges of sex trafficking minors. Ghislaine Maxwell is serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking and related crimes.
