Tamil Nadu BJP state president K Annamalai on Friday shared a video of a DMK MLA allegedly insulting north Indians while the latter was raising issue of population and delimitation.

This comes ahead of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin’s first Joint Action Committee meeting on delimitation in Chenna on Saturday. Annamalai said he hopes that Stalin will play this video in front of his INDIA bloc partners.

The meeting will be attended by various political parties in Chennai on March 22- including leaders from Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, West Bengal and Punjab", MK Stalin said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Slamming the meet as a “delusional drama", Annamalai said on X, “We hope he will play this speech of DMK Minister Thiru TM Anbarasan to his I.N.D.I. Alliance partners", referring to the remarks made by Anbarasan at a public meeting where he said people who learnt Hindi were grazing cattle at his house.

In the video, TM Anbarasan is heard saying, “I am not joking. It is true. They are selling ‘pani puri’ and are engaged in construction works and carpentry. If we study Hindi, we too have to go to North India and sell pani puri."

“…But if you see fellows in the North, they gave births like pigs to increase population. Now they say delimitation will be done based on population," the MLA said in the purported video, as per translation shared by Annamalai.

Annamalai said, “It’s as if the DMK Ministers have made a collective decision to insult and abuse our brothers and sisters of northern India."

Earlier as well, K Annamalai accused TM Anbarasan of belittling the workers from North India who are employed in Tamil Nadu.

“DMK ministers take great joy in belittling our brothers and sisters from Northern India, often forgetting our Tamil values and culture. Anbarasan is an 11th pass, has very poor Tamil proficiency and is the minister of MSME," Annamalai then said.
