Haryana signs MoU to take cloud and data centre services to global markets, host overseas data

Haryana Government's Department of Industries & Commerce has signed an MoU with Anant Raj Cloud Singapore Pte. Ltd and Orange Business Services Singapore Pte. Ltd to take Haryana-based cloud and data centre services to global markets and facilitate the hosting of overseas data in the state.

Haryana government already has a dedicated Data Centre Policy 2026 offering a range of incentives to support the development of data centre infrastructure in the state.

At the national level, India is aiming to offer a competitive cost environment, with relatively lower Capex and operating costs to further strengthening its proposition to attract global data workloads.

Under the MoU, Anant Raj Cloud Singapore will promote Haryana as a preferred global hub for data centres, cloud and AI infrastructure.

It will undertake global marketing of its cloud platform Ashok Cloud, and data centre services hosted in Haryana, while facilitating the onboarding of overseas customers looking to host their data in the state.

In June 2026, the company had signed an MoU with the state government, committing ₹25,000 crore towards the development of data centre infrastructure. The company's group entities have committed to develop 307 MW of IT Load across its Manesar, Panchkula and Rai campuses, with the Rai campus in Sonipat having potential capacity of around 200 MW IT Load.

Further investments have been planned in phases based on demand, commercial viability, and requisite approvals. A joint press release by both the companies indicated that Orange Business will explore opportunities to work as a technology partner for the establishment of data centres and support cloud services, including those designed for AI workloads and high-performance computing.

Its role will include providing technology architecture, cloud and AI hardware and technical expertise, while also supporting Anant Raj Cloud Singapore’s go-to-market initiatives in international markets.

Shares of Anant Raj Ltd closed at ₹611.50 on October 7, up 0.43% from the previous close.
