Hero MotoCorp hits the Italian roads via Pelpi partnership

Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, has officially entered the Italian market through a distribution partnership with Pelpi . The move marks the company’s expansion into its 49th international market.

The partnership will see Pelpi — one of Italy’s leading two-wheeler distributors — manage the sales, service, and spare parts network for Hero MotoCorp across the country. Initially, Hero’s products will be available through 36 dealerships in key cities, with plans to expand to 54 in the next phase.

Hero MotoCorp to debut in Italy with 3 models

Hero’s debut in Italy includes three Euro 5+ compliant models: the Hunk 440, Xpulse 200 4V, and Xpulse 200 4V Pro. The Hunk 440, priced at €3,990, features a 440cc engine producing 27 BHP and 36 Nm of torque, a steel trellis frame for improved stability, dual-channel ABS, and a digital TFT display. Available in Twilight Blue and Phantom Black, it targets the L3e−A2 performance category.

The Xpulse 200 4V and Xpulse 200 4V Pro, priced at €2,990 and €3,190 respectively, bring a blend of adventure and technology, equipped with features such as multiple ABS modes, Bluetooth navigation, and LED projector lamps.

Hero MotoCorp is offering a standard three-year warranty on all products, along with an additional two-year warranty as part of a special launch offer, extending total coverage to five years.

Hero MotoCorp share price performance

Hero MotoCorp, which already operates across 48 countries, runs eight manufacturing facilities globally and has two R&D centres — one in India and another in Germany. The company also holds collaborations with Harley-Davidson and Zero Motorcycles and strategic investments in Ather Energy and Euler Motors.

Hero MotoCorp shares ended a percent up in the green on Monday (October 13).  The auto major's scrip has jumped close to 33% so far this year.
