Hi-Tech Pipes Ltd has announced the commencement of commercial production at its Sanand Unit II – Phase II facility in Gujarat on Wednesday, November 26, marking a major milestone in the company’s brownfield expansion programme.
According to the exchange filing, the new unit adds 1 lakh MTPA of manufacturing capacity.
The expansion boosts Hi-Tech Pipes’ capabilities in large-diameter ERW pipes, jumbo hollow sections and structural-grade steel products, enabling the company to serve high-growth sectors such as solar, fabrication, engineering and infrastructure.
Its strategic location in Sanand is expected to reduce logistics costs and improve service efficiency for customers across Gujarat and neighbouring regions.
The company said the expanded facility will also support export growth by enabling the supply of heavy hollow sections and large ERW pipes to international markets, improving product mix and long-term volume visibility.
Commenting on the development, Chairman and Managing Director Ajay Kumar Bansal said, “This brownfield expansion enhances our capabilities in large-diameter ERW pipes and jumbo hollow sections—product categories witnessing strong structural demand.”
He added that the facility, equipped with modern technologies and operational efficiencies, strengthens the company’s commitment to building a future-ready steel products ecosystem.
Shares of Hi-Tech Pipes Ltd ended higher on Wednesday, November 26, by 2.51% at ₹103.00 on the NSE.
