‘I'm Not Bored’: Trump Says US Has Capability To Continue Iran Op Beyond Planned Four Weeks

Trump addressed the ongoing military operations against Iran, stating that the United States is already ahead of its projected timeline for the conflict.

US President Donald Trump on Monday said that the US attack on Iran is meeting its goals ahead of schedule but also warned the war could go “far longer" than his initial estimates of about a month, saying that there is “nothing boring about it."

Speaking during a Medal of Honor ceremony at the White House, Trump addressed the ongoing military operations against Iran, stating that the United States is already ahead of its projected timeline for the conflict.

“We’re already substantially ahead of our time projections, but whatever the time is, it’s okay, whatever it takes," Trump said.

The US President acknowledged that the US had initially projected a four to five-week operation but stressed the nation’s capability to extend the campaign if needed.

“From the beginning we projected four to five weeks, but we have capability to go far longer than that. We’ll do it," he said.

Trump also responded to critics who speculated that he would lose interest in the conflict after a short period. “Somebody said from the media, ‘I think you’ll get bored after about a week or two.’ No, we don’t get bored. I never get bored. If I got bored, I wouldn’t be standing here right now, I guarantee you that," Trump said.

Trump’s comments come as the US and Israeli military forces continue their strikes against Iranian targets, following the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a joint US-Israeli attack.
