The fatal shooting of a Minnesota activist by US immigration officers has triggered protests across the United States and deepened tensions between federal authorities and Democratic-led states.

Renee Good, a 37-year-old mother of three, was killed in Minneapolis after being shot by an officer from US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The incident happened during a large federal immigration operation ordered by President Donald Trump. Civil liberties and migrant-rights groups say the killing reflects the growing use of force in immigration enforcement.

Massive protests in Minneapolis happening right now demanding justice for Renee Good. A revolution is brewing. The people are fed up with the system. We need this all over the country. In response, campaigners have called for nationwide demonstrations this weekend. Organisers say more than 1,000 rallies are planned under the slogan “ICE Out For Good", demanding an end to what they describe as aggressive deployments of ICE officers, mainly in cities run by Democrats.
