Imran Khan gears up for comeback as Netflix film with Bhumi Pednekar begins in April

Actor Imran Khan’s comeback remains a hot topic, and things are finally moving forward. A source associated with the Netflix film informed HT City that filming is set to begin in April. “The platform wants to make the first announcement themselves. Bhumi Pednekar is locked for the leading role with Imran. The pre-production work is on in full swing, and the cameras will roll in a month,” the source revealed.

Back in September 2024, we reported that Danish Aslam had written the script and would produce the film alongside Imran and a mutual friend. At the time, a source revealed, “They took the project to a streaming platform, who prima facie based on the pitch level, gave it a thumbs up since there was no full screenplay. No agreement has been signed yet, that’s only done when the screenplay is approved.”

Now, everything has come together, and the necessary contracts have been finalized.

Imran Khan, who was last seen in the 2015 romantic drama Katti Batti alongside Kangana Ranaut, recently became a trending topic on social media. The actor, known for films like Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na, Delhi Belly, and I Hate Luv Storys, has been largely absent from the film industry for nearly a decade. However, his name frequently resurfaces in conversations among fans who reminisce about his performances and express their hopes for a comeback.
