Elon Musk asked German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to resign, describing him as an "incompetent fool" after the deadly attack in Christmas market that killed two and left dozens injured.

Germany Christmas Market Attack: Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who is all set to be a part of US President-elect Donald Trump’s upcoming administration, on Friday (local time) labelled German Chancellor Olaf Scholz an “incompetent fool" and said that he should resign in response to a deadly attack at a German Christmas market.
Two people, including a toddler, were killed while over 60 others were injured as a car rammed into a crowd at the Christmas market in Magdeburg. The driver, identified as Taleb A, who is a Saudi national, was arrested on the spot."
Elon Musk Wants Scholz To Resign
“Scholz should resign immediately," Musk posted on X, adding, “Incompetent fool."
His response came in a thread about reports of the deadly attack in Germany.
He had, earlier in the day, stepped into the midst of Germany’s election campaign and called the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) the nation’s saviour.
“Only the AfD can save Germany," Musk said on his social media platform, X.
Elon Musk Backs Germany’s AfD
He had already extended support to the AfD last year while attacking the German government’s handling of the illegal immigration into the country.
The AfD is currently placed at the second spot in the opinion polls and could potentially keep either the center-right or center-left blocs at bay from the majority.
However, Germany’s mainstream centrist parties have firmly pledged to exclude the AfD from any support at the national level.
Germany is expected to go to polls on February 23 following the collapse of Scholz-led centre-left coalition government.
Musk, the world’s richest person, has already expressed support for other parties having anti-immigration stances across Europe.
The German government said that it had taken note of Musk’s comments, however, did not make any comments at its regular press briefing.
