Amid heightened tensions, Pakistan’s Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar claimed India intends to carry out military action against Pakistan in the next 24-36 hours, based on “credible" intelligence reports.

This came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Indian armed forces have complete operational freedom to decide on the mode, targets, and timing of the nation’s response to the Pahalgam terror attack, where 26 tourists were killed.

Tarar said Indian forces were preparing to launch an attack “on the pretext of baseless and concocted allegations of involvement" in the Pahalgam terror attack.
