IndusInd Bank has made several senior-level appointments as part of an internal restructuring aimed at strengthening capabilities across core business and support functions. The bank said the new positions align with its broader focus on operational depth, governance, and long-term business strategy.
The bank has named Amitabh Kumar Singh as Chief Human Resources Officer. With nearly three decades of experience in HR roles across the ICICI Group, he will oversee human capital strategy, succession planning, organisational processes and HR digitisation initiatives.
Tapobrat Chaudhuri has been appointed Managing Director and CEO of Bharat Financial Inclusion Ltd (BFIL), the bank’s microfinance subsidiary. Chaudhuri, who previously headed microfinance at Kotak Mahindra Bank, will focus on asset quality, collections, operational efficiency and enhancing integration between BFIL and IndusInd Bank.
The bank has also named Balaji Narayanamurthy as Chief Data Officer. With a background spanning analytics, AI and data engineering at Axis Bank, Barclays US and Capital One, he will lead data strategy, business intelligence and advanced analytics initiatives.
In addition, Ganesh Sankaran has joined as Head of the Wholesale Banking Group. With more than 30 years of experience across corporate and institutional banking at Axis Bank, Federal Bank and HDFC Bank, he will oversee segments including corporate banking, SME and mid-market business, real estate, supply chain finance and transaction banking.
The appointments come as IndusInd Bank continues to expand its retail and wholesale operations and reinforce governance mechanisms. As of September 30, 2025, the bank operated 3,116 branches and 3,054 ATMs, serving about 42 million customers.
