Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations said more than 1,300 civilians have been killed in strikes by the United States and Israel since the conflict began.
Iran has mocked US President Donald Trump with a provocative poster depicting him holding a Nobel Peace Prize medal while standing over the bodies of dead children, amid escalating tensions following recent strikes in the country.
The poster circulating on social media depicts Donald Trump with a sardonic smile, standing over the bodies of children killed in the February 28 attack. The post read, “Nobel Cannibal". The same day Ali Khamenei was assassinated in a strike blamed on the United States and Israel.

The poster mocks Donald Trump, who has long said he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for claiming to have helped stop several conflicts. Earlier this year, Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado presented her 2025 Nobel Peace Prize medal to him at the White House.
Trump, earlier, denied allegations that the United States was responsible for the bombing of an elementary girls’ school in Iran and instead blamed Iran for the strike.
When asked whether the United States was behind the school attack, Donald Trump denied the allegation and instead blamed Iran, claiming the strike was likely caused by the inaccuracy of Iranian weapons. He made the remarks while speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One during a flight to Miami.
“No, I don’t believe so. Based on what I’ve seen, that was done by Iran. We think it was done by Iran because they’re very inaccurate, as you know, with their munitions. They have no accuracy whatsoever. It was done by Iran," Trump said.
The Iran–Israel–US war entered its 12th day on Wednesday, with air raid sirens, missile launches and fresh strikes reported across West Asia overnight. Israel and the United States continued targeting sites inside Iran, while Iranian forces launched retaliatory missile and drone attacks toward Israel and US allies in the region.
