US President Donald Trump on Monday took to Truth Social and claimed credit for brokering the ceasefire between Israel and Iran, saying, “Israel & Iran came to me, almost simultaneously, and said, ‘PEACE!’" In his post, Trump said he recognized the urgency of the moment, writing, “I knew the time was NOW." He framed the development as a win not just for the two nations, but for the broader region, stating, “The World, and the Middle East, are the real WINNERS!"
