In Tibet, Chinese authorities deployed satellites and drones to search for survivors after the earthquake struck a mountainous region. At least 16 people were killed and 76 others injured, authorities said.

Dar reached Trkiye on Friday to attend a meeting of foreign ministers from select regional and European countries. The visit comes as Islamabad and Ankara deepen cooperation through emerging diplomatic and defence groupings.

Lamichhane left Nepal for India on Friday for a three-day religious visit, accompanied by his wife Nikita Poudel, party sources said. Lamichhane is the president of Nepal's ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party.

In Pakistan's Balochistan province, at least 12 people, including three women, were killed after a passenger bus collided with a van near Uthal on Friday, police said.

Pakistani security forces also killed 10 militants in two separate operations in Balochistan, the military said. One of the operations followed an attack on a construction company's worksite in the coastal town of Gwadar.

In Karachi, a 14-year-old Pakistani girl was rescued after she was allegedly targeted by an international online network accused of coercing children into self-harm and other abusive behaviour.

In London, Meghan Markle, the wife of Britain's Prince Harry, said on Friday that she was “deeply distressed” after allegations concerning child sexual abuse images against her father made headlines.

The developments ranged from Jaishankar's bilateral talks and China's earthquake response to diplomatic visits, deaths in an accident and security operations in Pakistan, the rescue of a child from alleged online abuse, and Markle's response to allegations against her father.
