As many as 4.26 crore shares or 2.03% equity of JSW Infrastructure Ltd worth ₹1,239 crore changed hands at 290.6 per share in a block deal on Friday, May 29.

Earlier in the day, CNBC-TV18 reported, citing sources that the Sajjan Jindal Family Trust, via its trustees Sajjan Jindal and Sangita Jindal, were likely to sell 2% stake in JSW Infrastructure Ltd for ₹1,209.6 crore.

The floor price on offer was ₹288 per share, a 3% discount to its last closing price, sources said.

At the end of the March quarter, the Sajjan Jindal Family Trust held 80.72% stake in the company, as per data available on the stock exchanges.

Following the block deal, there will be a lock-up of 60 days for further selling of shares, sources said.

On May 12, the company had intimated the exchanges of a likely sale. The sale is being done to meet the minimum public shareholding norms.

JSW Infra reported a 57% increase in its fourth quarter consolidated net profit at ₹516 crore from the previous year. Its revenue rose 14% to ₹1,372 crore. Its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased 7% to ₹730 crore, with margin remaining strong at 53.2%.

For the entire financial year 2025, JSW Infra posted a 31% increase in profit at ₹1,521 crore, while its revenue was up 20% at ₹4,829 crore. Its EBITDA increased 17% at 2,615 crore, translating into a margin of 54.2%.

During the fourth quarter, the company handled 31.2 million tonne cargo, which was up 5% from the last year. The third-party cargo volumes increased 11%, with their share rising to 50% of the total volumes, compared to 47% in the previous year. For the entire financial year 2025, the cargo volumes increased 9% to 117 million tonne, with third-party cargo contributing 49%, which was up 40% from the FY24.

Shares of JSW Infrastructure Ltd delinked 3% to hit an intraday low of 288.1 apiece. The stock was down 2.09% at 290.85 apiece at 9.30 am.  The stock has declined 8.5% this year, so far.
