A former FBI agent has reignited criticism of FBI Director Kash Patel, posting a viral message on X accusing the bureau chief of using an FBI jet for personal travel to attend his girlfriend’s wrestling event, all while FBI employees face delayed pay during the government shutdown.

“Dear FBI Employees: I’m sorry the government ISN’T funded, so you won’t be getting a paycheck. Luckily, that doesn’t stop Real American Freestyle WRESTLING!” wrote Kyle Seraphin, a former FBI agent-turned-MAGA podcaster known for his outspoken criticism of the bureau.

In the same post, Seraphin mocked Patel with a fabricated sign-off meant to parody the director’s alleged trip: “So I flew the FBI jet to State College, PA, hung out with my chick, and then flew to Nashville where she lives. — Ka$h.”

The post quickly gained traction online, with critics accusing Patel of misusing government resources amid a partial shutdown that has left many federal employees without pay.

Seraphin’s comments followed earlier claims that a government-owned jet registered to the Department of Justice made a 40-minute flight from Virginia to Pennsylvania on October 25, coinciding with Patel’s appearance at the Real American Freestyle Wrestling event at Penn State University, where his girlfriend, country singer Alexis Wilkins, performed.

After the event, the same jet reportedly flew to Nashville, where Wilkins lives. Flight-tracking data cited by Seraphin appeared to match Patel’s recent travel pattern, though the FBI has not confirmed whether the director was on board.

Neither Patel nor the FBI has commented on the allegations.

“He flew a $60 million aircraft to go hang out there. Is that gross to anybody else?” Seraphin said in his latest podcast episode. “We’re in the middle of a shutdown, and this guy’s jetting off to hang out with his girlfriend — on our dime.”

Under federal guidelines, the FBI director is required to use government aircraft for all travel due to the need for secure communications, but must reimburse the government for personal use at the cost of a commercial ticket.

Patel has faced mounting scrutiny from lawmakers over what they describe as questionable use of the bureau’s planes for personal trips. The New York Times previously reported that Patel took multiple flights to Nashville earlier this year, officially citing field office visits.

The latest accusations stem from Patel’s appearance at the Real American Freestyle Wrestling event, co-founded by Hulk Hogan, where Wilkins performed before a packed crowd. Photos shared on social media showed Patel and Wilkins together at the venue.

“It’s not a security inspection. It’s not a field visit. It’s a concert,” Seraphin said. “Meanwhile, rank-and-file FBI employees are wondering how they’ll pay their bills.”
