Kunal Kamra made fun of Eknath Shinde in his stand-up show, calling him a "traitor" for the rebellion he led against Uddhav Thackeray in 2022.

Kunal Kamra has stoked controversy as he mocked Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde as a “traitor" in his recent stand-up show.

Shiv Sena has said the party will take legal action against Kamra, who describes himself as a comedian.

“Meri nazar se tum dekho to gaddar nazar wo aaye. Haaye!" he said during his show, giving a “Dil To Pagal Hai" touch to the state politics.

In his show, Kamra mocked Shinde in an edited version of a Hindi song, drawing laughter from the audience.

He referred to his 2022 rebellion in which he split the Shiv Sena into two – Shinde faction and Uddhav Thackeray faction.
