US-Israel-Iran War Live Updates: Tensions in the Middle East remain high despite fresh diplomatic efforts between Iran and the United States. Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi briefed parliament on the latest talks with Washington and reiterated Tehran's right to continue uranium enrichment for peaceful purposes, according to state media. Iran's latest proposal calls for an end to conflicts across the region, including Lebanon, the lifting of US sanctions and naval restrictions, the release of frozen Iranian assets, compensation for war damage and the withdrawal of US forces from areas near Iran. Qatar meanwhile said negotiations need "more time", with Doha praising Pakistan's mediation efforts and confirming contacts with both Tehran and Washington. The remarks came after US President Donald Trump said he had paused a planned strike on Iran following requests from the leaders of Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. On the ground, Israel warned residents of 12 towns in southern Lebanon to evacuate ahead of expected attacks on Hezbollah targets. Israeli forces also continued seizing Gaza-bound aid ships in international waters.
