Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani, the chairperson of Reliance Foundation, will attend US President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday (January 20), according to an official familiar with the planning of the anticipated event.

The 60th Presidential Inauguration of Donald Trump is set to take place at 12 pm (local time) on January 20, 2025. The key moment of the event will be the swearing-in ceremony, which will be held on the West Front of the US Capitol in Washington, DC.

The Ambani couple is slated to arrive in Washington DC and would have a prominent spot in the ceremony along with other notable guests, including Trump’s Cabinet nominees, elected officials and high-profile business leaders from across the world.

The inaugural event will start on Saturday (January 18) with a reception and fireworks display at the Trump Golf Club, followed by a Cabinet reception and a Vice President’s dinner which the Ambanis will attend, the official told news agency ANI.

Mukesh and Nita Ambani will also attend a “candlelight dinner" with President-elect Trump that will be followed by a close interaction with Vice President-elect JD Vance and his Indian-origin wife Usha Vance.

High-Profile Guests At Trump’s Inauguration

Trump’s inauguration, marking his extraordinary resurgence as he will be sworn in for the second time as US President, features a high-profile guest list including several foreign leaders, diplomat and influential business leaders.

Prominent names in the guest list include Tesla and X owner Elon Musk, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Meta chief Mark Zuckerberg, French billionaire Xavier Niel, Argentinian President Javier Milei, Hungarian PM Viktor Orban and others

Zuckerberg is also co-hosting a black-tie reception on Monday with Republican donor Miriam Adelson to celebrate the inauguration. This event will also be attended by the Ambanis.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will represent India at Trump’s swearing-in ceremony in the United States and will also meet representatives of the incoming Trump administration during his visit to the United States. China has send Vice President Han Zheng to attend the inauguration.

Around 200,000 people are expected to attend the ceremony on Monday. Following the swearing-in, Trump will deliver his inaugural address as the 47th President of the US and then proceed to the President’s Room in the Capitol for official actions, including signing executive orders.

A traditional Inaugural Luncheon will be hosted in Statuary Hall, attended by dignitaries, including members of Congress and the Supreme Court. The day will continue with a military review and the Presidential Parade along Pennsylvania Avenue. Later in the evening, Trump will appear at three inaugural balls throughout the city – the Commander-in-Chief Ball, the Liberty Inaugural Ball and the Starlight Ball.
