NBCC India bags ₹145 crore orders across 5 key projects in Meghalaya, Jharkhand, Odisha

State-owned NBCC (India) Ltd on Tuesday (September 15) said it has received work orders worth approximately ₹144.98 crore, excluding Goods and Services Tax (GST), from the North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Ltd (NEEPCO), Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL), Enforcement Directorate and Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC).

The orders include projects covering township development, repair and maintenance of residential quarters, building repairs and painting, construction of sheds with cranes, office renovation and an officer's dormitory building across Meghalaya, Jharkhand and Odisha.

What are the projects?

The largest order, worth ₹55.91 crore, is from SAIL's Bokaro Steel Plant for comprehensive external repair and painting of 654 building blocks in sectors 2, 3, 8, 9 and 11 at the Bokaro Steel City Township in Jharkhand.

NBCC also received two orders worth ₹23.48 crore each from SAIL for the construction of 250 x 30 square metre sheds with a 25-tonne revised overhead travelling crane facility in the General Stores Area of the MM-Stores Department at Bokaro Steel Plant.

Another ₹9.05 crore order from SAIL is for comprehensive upgradation, repair and maintenance of 500 residential quarters in the Bokaro Steel City Township.

NBCC received a ₹11.21 crore order from NEEPCO for Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services, from concept to commissioning, for the development of a township project on 21.66 acres of land acquired by NEEPCO at Umsawli, Mawdiangdiang, Shillong, Meghalaya.

The filing said the total project value was ₹141.79 crore, of which ₹130.58 crore had already been intimated on April 29, 2025. The ₹11.21 crore represents the difference between the two amounts.

Orders from Enforcement Directorate and DVC

NBCC received a ₹5.86 crore order from the Enforcement Directorate's Bhubaneswar Zonal Office for interior renovation and furnishing works at its new office premises. It also received a ₹15.99 crore order from DVC for construction of an officer's dormitory building at Mayabazar, DTPS, Durgapur.

The company said all the work orders are in the ordinary course of business. The filing did not specify execution timelines for the orders. Shares of NBCC (India) Ltd ended at ₹80.60, down by ₹2.45, or 2.95%, on the BSE.
