NBCC sells 4.8 lakh sqft space at World Trade Centre for Rs 1905 crore

State-owned listed construction firm NBCC (India) Ltd has sold 4.8 lakh square feet of commercial space in the World Trade Centre in Delhi for around Rs 1,905 crore, the company said.

The real estate developer said that the commercial space at the World Trade Centre (WTC) in Nauroji Nagar in south Delhi was sold in the 25th e-auction. Power Finance Corporation Limited, Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited and Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited were among the major entities, which bought space in this e-auction.

Out of the total area sold, around 4.38 lakh square feet having a sale value of approximately Rs 1,740 crore have been sold to PSU entities. There were five successful bidders of which three were PSUs and two private entities.

As of date, NBCC has sold a total commercial inventory of over 30 lakh sq ft through 25 e-auctions having a sale value of over Rs 12,100 crore. The project is rapidly progressing towards completion and more than 94 percent of the physical progress has been achieved, NBCC said.

World Trade Centre is redeveloped as a commercial centre having approximately 34 lakh sq ft of commercial built-up area, which is being constructed in place of 628 old and dilapidated quarters.

Situated in Nauroji Nagar, the WTC enjoys proximity to major establishments, recreational areas, and transportation hubs like the Ring Road, metro stations, airports and AIIMS.
