State-run construction company NBCC (India) Ltd has successfully sold around 7.08 lakh sq ft of commercial built-up space at Bharat Business Park in Sarojini Nagar, New Delhi, through an e-auction, generating a total sale value of approximately ₹2,857 crore.
The company informed stock exchanges that the commercial space sale forms part of the Bharat Business Park development under the Sarojini Nagar redevelopment project. NBCC will earn a marketing fee of 1% on the total sale value.
The development was welcomed by investors, with NBCC shares rising over 3% during Wednesday's trade. The stock was trading at ₹112.52 on the NSE, up 3.1% as of 2:03 pm.
The latest transaction adds to NBCC's growing order book and project pipeline. Just a day earlier, the company secured fresh work orders worth ₹20.92 crore. These included an ₹8.48 crore contract from the Chennai Port Authority for improvement works at the Medical and Surgical Blocks of ChPA Hospital in Chennai and a ₹12.44 crore order from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd for the construction of a 150-bed Vishram Sadan at Government General Hospital in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.
Earlier this month, NBCC announced work orders worth ₹83.24 crore. These included a ₹39.99 crore residential construction project for Canara Bank in Mumbai, a ₹5.51 crore contract for the upgradation of the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister's residence at Janpath in New Delhi, and a ₹37.74 crore order from the Odisha government for construction and expansion works across multiple districts.
The company has also delivered a steady operational performance. In the March quarter, NBCC reported a 39% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹253.5 crore, aided by an exceptional gain linked to the reversal of an earlier write-down in its Kochi real estate project. Revenue stood at ₹4,559.8 crore during the quarter.
For FY26, NBCC reported standalone revenue from operations of ₹9,755.3 crore and net profit of ₹703.3 crore. The company also broadly met its annual guidance, reporting FY26 revenue of ₹12,888 crore and profit after tax of ₹720.3 crore, underscoring the strength of its execution pipeline and redevelopment-led growth strategy.
