NEET MDS 2024
exam tomorrow, March 18. Candidates who have registered for the Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Masters of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) can check the exam pattern, marking scheme, admit card, and important exam day instructions here.
NEET-MDS is a single eligibility cum entrance examination for admission to Masters of Dental Surgery (MDS) Courses:
1.
All India 50% quota seats for MDS courses (all states).
2. State quota seats for MDS courses for all States/Union territories of India.
3. MDS courses at all Private Dental Colleges, Institutions & Universities all across the country.
4. MDS courses at Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions.
5. Screening exam for dental surgeons (BDS & MDS) for Short Service Commission in Army Dental Corps.
Exam Pattern
The exam will be conducted as a computer-based test (CBT) and will consist of 240 multiple-choice questions. Each question will offer four response options in English only. Candidates must choose the most suitable answer from the provided options within the allocated three-hour time frame.
Marking Scheme
Incorrect answers will incur a penalty of 25% negative marking, while no marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.
Important Instructions
- Candidates must download their admit card from the NBEMS website and securely attach a recent passport-size photograph in the designated space.
- Candidates are required to report to the 'Reporting Counter' at the test venue according to the time specified on their admit cards. To ensure a smooth entry process and avoid overcrowding, staggered time slots will be allocated for candidate reporting. The reporting counter will close 30 minutes before the test begins.
- Candidates who arrive late or beyond the designated reporting time will not be permitted to take the exam under any circumstances.
- Frisking using Hand-Held Metal Detectors (HHMD) will be conducted at the entrance to the test center premises.
- Upon entry, candidates will present their admit card and ID proof for verification to the exam staff stationed at the table equipped with a barcode/QR code reader.
- Any candidate found to be presenting false or forged documents/ID proofs will be subject to a case of unfair means being registered against them.
