NEET UG 2024: The Testing Agency is set to conclude the registration window for the Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate courses (NEET UG) 2024 tomorrow, i.e March 9, 2024 - 9PM. Candidates will be able to register themselves by filling the online proforma available on the official website of NEET UG 2024 at exams.nta.ac.in/NEET.
The NEET UG 2024 exam is scheduled to take place on May 5, 2024 and the results are expected to be declared on June 14, 2024.
The exam will be held for a duration of three hours and 20 minutes (200 minutes), and will run from 2 PM to 5:20 PM.
NEET UG 2024: Eligibility
To be eligible for NEET UG 2024, candidates must meet specific criteria. Firstly, they should be at least 17 years old at the time of admission or will attain that age by December 31 of the admission year.
Regarding educational qualifications, candidates must have completed their Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board. The necessary list of subjects required include Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or Biotechnology), along with English as a mandatory subject.
Furthermore, the minimum marks required in Class 12 vary based on the applicant's category. For those in the General Category, a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined is necessary. However, for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC-NCL categories, the minimum requirement is slightly lower, with 40% aggregate marks in the same subjects.

The NTA has introduced revisions to the NEET 2024 syllabus, when compared to previous years. Certain topics, such as Rotational Motion and Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism, have been dropped. The syllabus has been streamlined further, with topics like Solid State and some p-Block Elements being excluded. Additionally, specific topics, like Digestion and Absorption, have been removed from the NEET Biology syllabus for 2024.
