A specialised Silkyara tunnel rescue team has reached Nepal to assist, while Kathmandu has sought technical support for tunnel rescue, transport links, body identification and preservation, and requested Bailey bridges from India and China. Rescue operations have been hampered by rain and grounded helicopters, with authorities also monitoring the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli rivers and a temporary lake near the flood source in Tibet. India has rescued 84 citizens, while around 320 remain missing or uncontactable; 106 tourists from Maharashtra have returned home. Nepal has thanked India for its assistance and said billions of dollars could be required to rebuild infrastructure damaged by the floods, including roads, bridges and hydropower projects.
